My parents worked hard for all they have. I grew up appreciating everything I my parents gave me. I wasn't given a car when I turned 16, but I never went without anything either. (Unlike these kids on my Super Sweet 16 on MTV, but that is not the point of this blog.) My parents raised my older brother, me, my cousin R, my cousin C and at one point helped out every member in my family. My parents cared for my ailing grandmother when she was dying of emphazema. They took in my Uncle R (father of cousins R and C) when he was dying of lung cancer...they are great, caring people.
There is one reason that I do love them more than anything else though...and that is because they are always cracking me (more times I am laughing AT them, than WITH them.)
Today I had to send out an email because my PDA died and had to be reset, so I lost all of my information.
This is the email I sent out:
My Palm Pilot died and I have to upload new information (no it was not backed up on my new work PC)
When you get a chance if you can send me your info I would appreciate it.

Parents are hysterical. Even crazier...one day we wake up and realize we've become them!

When we are growing up, we rarely appreciate our parents because we usually think they are holding us back. It's great to be able to reflect on your childhood and realize that your parents did a great job and weren't trying to hold you back...they were holding you up.
i'm ready for my 14yr old to love his parents...

Sorry I have been out of touch the past few days (weeks) - work has been out of control. I really cannot wait until I can take a day off. Conference after conference - when will it all end. Like Mimi (Mariah) says "I gotta get up outta here and go somewhere."
